Last September I started the MLA program at Camosun College. I needed a new career path as it had been way too long since my last job, not to mention the hours and travelling involved in that last job did not fit well with children.

I was not sure exactly what this program entailed and while I did very well in the program, as far as grades go, I was never totally sure this was what I wanted to do. Who really does know until you do it right?

I am now in my final months of practicum and am currently doing my practicum at VGH. I just want to say how much I LOVE my practicum and the wonderful people who have helped me so far at VGH. Yes it's still tough and yes of course I'm making a ton of mistakes but everyone is so supportive and encouraging. I had such a great day today there and felt so good when I got off of 'work'. I sure hope they love me as much as I love them......and hopefully they decide to hire me!

Yay! So happy for you. It's nice to find something you enjoy doing. I'll be looking at a career change in a few years maybe I'll check in to see if you're still enjoying it.

I was an MLA while I went to University.....LOVED the job....was sad to quit and I still miss it ten years later!!!
