You fav fish n chip place?
So the only time we ever do take out fish n chips is on Good Friday.
We've always gone to Haultain Fish n Chips but last year they were closed on good Friday
We ended up buying from Salty's. It was good but I'm thinking this year I'd like to try someplace new.
Where do you love to go? I'd prefer to stay in town/saanich (not downtown or Langford)
Not terribly pricy would be nice too!
Thanks!!!!!

In that area I love Naughty Nellies (behind the 7-11 at Shelbourne and Feltham).

DEFINITLEY barbs fish & chips. Or flying otter griill. We will try rock cod cafe in Duncan next time we're up there (it was just on the food network last night for best places to dine!)

Yep, Fish of Fifth is the bomb! What I like is that you can order the fish grilled instead of battered and they have the best salads!! They also have great yam fries and a menu that contains non fish items too. The beacon burger is delish and I really used to like the chicken burger (when I could have it).
I also like Fish on Fifth because you can get a great gluten free meal there without feeling deprived (since I've been gluten free I always get the two piece grilled salmon with side salad).

Agree! It's not only the best tasting, but they have a fantastic diverse menu and all their fish is sustainably harvested and they buy local when they can.

I know you said not downtown, but yes, Red Fish Blue Fish is amazing and so is the fish and chips at Spinnakers.

I drive in from View Royal for Red Fish Blue Fish - well worth the drive....but for take out (bringing home) I rarely do any fish and chips more than a few minutes drive from the house as I find it gets soggy. I guess that's why it's a once a year thing! I might start the same Good Friday tradition as the OP! SOunds like a very good idea.

I've always liked Brady's (on Burnside Rd). Their halibut is always good, and the orders of chips are big (at least they always were - I haven't been there in a couple years now).
I also agree with others that Red Fish Blue Fish is awesome - and worth going downtown for:)

Our family has always liked Brady's too (though I get violently ill every time I eat there. I believe I have an allergy to something in their batter
