50s style dresses

Postby anonamom on Tue Apr 10, 2012 8:43 pm

I saw some new dresses made in the 50s/60s style somewhere and can't remember where. Has anyone seen a store with this type of style? I'm actually looking for a dress in the Heartbreaker Fashion designer line. thanks!

It's not a store here but if you are ever looking for something online this is a fabulous store:

Thanks Jaycee for checking the website for me - I did actually do my research...there is no such store that I know of nor is there a MacDonell Street. It is a store in Guelph Ontario. I did find a store on Douglas Street called Aces N Spades incorrectly listed elsewhere but it seems that store closed down recently.

That modcloth website has cute stuff. I would order off the web but I have an unusual body type and prefer to try on before buying. Looks like it isn't an option for Heartbreaker dresses though. Thanks!

Try this store (it is in Duncan - not sure if that is too far for you to drive):

There's a store on Herald St. Mauuve or something like that. She has vintage clothing. I'm guessing she has 50 style dresses too.

I just saw some gorgeous 50 style dresses on Johnson st... I of course can't remember the name but on Johnson above Government on the right hand side of the street if you were walking up towards Douglas. It's a really small store and has bathing suits on the wall right hand side.

I will remember the name as soon as I hit submit!
