Have you done the Body by Vi diet? I have some ???'s
I am quite active , I do Jazzercise 4 times per week and try to walk at least 2 times on the other days. I would like to slim down just a little bit but have found that these pounds Ive put on over the past year to be very stubborn.
I decided to try the Body By Vi shakes (with that added powder to conquer hunger) and I have found that I get so darn hungry and very weak by supper time. It just isnt enough for me. I get so hungry in fact that I find I am making poor choices for supper.
I know you are supposed to snack in between shakes and I prefer to just drink the shake plain with milk rather than adding fruit etc.
I have been doing the shakes for almost 2 weeks and have not lost 1 pound, in fact I have had to miss 2 Jazzercise classes because I was just too weak and hungry to participate.
Here is my questions
what are your experiences with this diet? did you have success? what were the keys for you ?
What is the best things to snack on ? How much snacking should I do?
I have had a few people tell me that they got headaches when taking these shakes and had to stop immediately. I have noticed slight headaches but not enough to cause me too much grief.
I would really like to see some success with this so thought maybe some insight would help.
TIA

There are some threads about this product. I was severely affected by it, and DO NOT recommend it at all! If you do a search you will see others that have similar opinions. Email me if you would like to know more, but the threads have most of the details.

My best advice is to eat REAL food. Never mind these diet program meal replacements, no wonder you are hungry. Save your money and make your own smoothies (I have one almost daily - yum).
I've found for me the best way to really drop the pounds was increasing my running (I run alot) and "roughly" keeping track of my calories. Do whatever you enjoy that gets your heart rate up. Sounds boring, but it works. For weight loss I went down pretty quick (say 1.5-2 pounds per week) on about 1600 calories/day. Each person's metabolism is different and will also depend on how active you are, build, age, etc.
At 1600 calories I was sometimes hungry, but I did try to fill up on things that leave you feeling full and satisfied for longer (whole foods, baked potatoes, etc).
After I was at my ideal weight, I found I could go up to between 2000-2500 calories per day (some days more, some less) and not gain the weight back.

Debbiel, are you still doing the Amazing Greens? I noticed they are available locally now. Have you tried the complete meal version?

Hi,
Yes, I still do the Amazing Grass in my smoothies. I think that you could always buy it at Lifestyles, but I just found it cheaper to order online from iherb. I think I might have one of the complete meal ones, I just add it to my smoothies.
