Is it just me?
Maybe it is because I have only just recently started getting the paper, but it seems to me that our country/world is going to crap. I read the paper every morning and end up totally depressed. Child care cuts, education cuts, environmental issues, cost of living rising. I look at these little kids here and think to myself, what are they going to have to face/over come in 10, 20, 30 years???
What can we do to help make things better for our children and our grandchildren and so on in the future? It feels so helpless.

here are the things that I think we can do
save the planet as much as possible
get involved in your community and make changes
keep raising them with a sense of community and responsibilty to each other- not that the whole world is here for my benefit (you are already doing this)
teach them life skills so that in an emergency not only will they be okay but they can lead others as well
just off the top of my head
