Quick remedies for hoarseness?

OK - I'm entering week 3 of this bug and I still have a tremendous cough and sore throat. If I take a deep breath, or laugh at all, I cough up both lungs. Dilemma - tomorrow morning I'm recording a spot on the Q for Thrifty's! But I don't know if I'll be able to do it with this throat acting up - any remedies?? The Ricola is not cutting it at all.

Have you tried gargling with salt water?

I always use Dequadin for my throat. It is an antibacterial/antifungal lozenge. I have some here if you want to pop over to try it.

i'll second the warm salt water gargling. i do it all the time for my throat.

Thanks guys. I had a good night's sleep and that seemed to help, that and the sweet dudes at the Q let me invade their tea 'drawer' .
