Did your SO get lazy/slack in your relationship?

Postby Anonymous Posts on Tue Apr 24, 2007 1:40 pm

Just wondering...

My SO seems to be only putting in a fraction of the effort he normally does. I'm not getting half the amount of sex, he doesn't try to maintain his part in our relationship and he's become completely self-involved.

Advice, my KIVers?

Is there something in the air? My normally sweet, thoughtful, charming SO these last few days has been an a$$. He is out of town doing a course for a few weeks, and barely taken the time of day to talk to me - this coming from someone who normally talks my ear off about anything under the sun, and makes me feel like a queen.
Instead, these last few days have been...I don't have time, suck it up, too f*%&%in bad when I have told him how I am feeling.

I don't get it, and am feeling pretty sad. He says I am overreacting. Its been a year, and haven't seen this type of behaviour before.

Funny mine too, I was just thinking that in the last week he's spent all of 10mins with me, I'm frustrated and upset.

Yep, for the most part. I just chalk it up to getting comfortable in the relationship. He doesn't have to impress me so much anymore and I don't have to shave my legs before we have sex so it all evens out. I will say though that he still pulls his weight in the relationship and at home and with the kid.

the comfort thing is almost as lame as the hockey. On our unshaving behalfs, as much as their lazy ignorant ones...

My dh becomes that way if he is stressed out about something. Once the stress goes away he is back to his normal attentive self.
