I work in economic development and came across this website recently.

Kiva lets you lend directly to an entrepeneur in a developing country - empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty. (You can view different entrepeneur profiles, and lend anywhere from 25.00 - ??)

Could anyone provide feedback re: how they might feel about getting a $25 gift certificate to this website to help those less fortunate improve their lives and their incomes as a birthday gift from a coworker or friend?

This is handsdown my favorite gift to get and give.

My mom gave this out to people last year for christmas and everyone loved them. Having it so direct with a website you can look at is even better.
