What stores still have a selection of girls swimsuits?

Postby JMP on Fri Jul 13, 2007 5:48 pm

I have been searching for over a week for a new swimsuit for my daughter and it is starting to frustrate me to no end. She needs a 10/12 or medium and literally everywhere we go has sizes that are too small or too large for her....OR they are the skimpiest little swimsuits I've ever seen. I don't really want my eight year sporting a swimsuit like that! Has anyone seen a decent selection left at any of the stores I might not have thought of?

I was having a hard time finding a bathing suit on Monday and i finally found one at Bootlegger/Ricki's in Canwest Mall. They were really cute not too skimpy either and they were BUY ONE GET ONE FREE.
Also, another place to try would be Winners

It's not too conveinent but I just bought a gorgeous one piece (but looks like a two from the back) in a beautiful flower pattern for only 12 dollars at "my childrens place" in Nanaimo.

I bought all my daughter's swim suit's at Winners this year. They had nice "sporty" ones - Nike, etc.
They still had some last week.

Anybody know of a good selection of kids swimsuit separates ?

My daughter is 2 sizes different or more from top to bottom...

I would like the tankini style - but they are just so baggy on her.... - shouldn't it still have a snug fit ?

I don't know about stuff for that age group, but I searched high and low in all of the sports/swimwear stores in town, and after finding nothing, I checked walmart (town and country) as a last resort, and there it was, the perfect swimsuit, and it was only $20! The other ones I looked at were upwards of $60 and I didn't even like them as much as the one I found at walmart.
