My Husband and myself have each lost 50lbs doing the slim fast diet. It's probably a heck of a lot cheaper than ordering the nutrisystem if you only have 20 more lbs to lose.
I just have a shake for breakfast, a snack, a shake for lunch with a salad or some veggies, then a snack, dinner, and sometimes a small snack by about 8pm. The first 2-3 weeks I had to have all those snacks or I was hungry but now I've gotten used to eating less and eating things that keep me full longer.
I just calculate my calories within the day including the shakes and keep it to 1200-1400 calories. Add some excersise and I've lost about 50lbs
I have found a bunch of ways to still have yummy meals but keep them low cal and also have some treats that are low cal too.
Also I've found that now I'm aware of just how many calories are in things and I've learnt how to portion control and things, even after I stop dieting as long as I keep to a healthier diet, and excersise I won't gain back all the weight. I won't have to calorie count for the rest of my life because what choices are better or worse are getting ingraved in my brain as well as portions.
Just thought I'd share that idea with you. Good Luck losing that last 20lbs!
