My husband comes back from Sea on Thursday

Postby aydans mom on Wed Nov 21, 2007 9:15 am

I am getting excited and nervours as I have not seen my hubby for about 5 weeks as he has been at sea on the coast of Sandiego as he is in the navy I was just wondering is there any other hubbys of wife at sea who comes back tomorrow.
I know my two year old son would be happy to see him as he loves going to see the navy ships and see his dad and my son sure misses his dad.. how does the children cope when daddy is out to sea...

My hubby comes home tomorrow too. My 12 yr old and 3 yr old are bouncing off the walls. Even though it has only been 5 weeks, the 3 yr old had a very hard time with this trip. Every melt down over anything was "I miss my Daddy".

It will be nice to have a grown up hug from someone bigger than me. lol

Have a good day tomorrow with your hubby!

Yep, my dh comes home tomorrow too. It sure seems longer than 5 weeks that they've been gone. I'm just glad they're home for Christmas this year. Dh was in the Gulf at Christmas last year and it really sucked.

My husband is home tomorrow too. My almost 3 year old and I are going to bake a cake for him tonight and plan a special dinner. Then after she is in bed I'm going to clean like crazy since the house is a wee bit cluttered and I want it to be nice for him when he comes back. :D

I've always done a jelly bean jar for ds when dh goes away. You figure out how long dh is going to be away for and put that many jelly beans in a jar (even if you're over as the days get closer you can take the extras out) and each night ds would eat a jelly bean. As the level of jelly beans went down dh was closer to being home. I usually do a jar for myself as well. It's much more fun than making X's on a calendar.

Enjoy your reunions!

My husband comes home tomorrow too! My dd is 4 and so excited. Its kind of sad though, our son started walking finally so he missed seeing his first steps, he is really bummed about that.
I have a horrible cold so I am so glad that my husband is coming home to take care of me, lol!

My hubby definitely did some shopping, our first video camera was the big purchase, but I know he has talked about stuff he bought our daughter. Sounds like it was a big shopping trip, but being so close to the holidays I’m not surprised. Now we get to practice with the camera since our daughter is doing her first Christmas singing thing at Preschool and I am so excited.

My husband comes home tomorrow too. These 5 weeks seemed to go sooo slowwwllly! I guess that is because he wasn't supposed to go on this trip. He was called from a shore posting to fill space on one of the ships for this trip! Just seemed to make the trip harder for our 3 kids. Can't wait for tomorrow!
