Label removal

Postby Shannon on Thu Feb 21, 2008 8:16 am

How do you get labels off things that don't want to come off?

I bought some things from the dollar store and the labels on the plastic are taking their sweet @ss time coming off. In pieces and ripping.

Do you have a fool proof solution?

goo gone is awesome, but if you don't have any try windex! Just spray it on and leave it for a minute and usually the label just wipes off. Make sure you only use it on stuff that won't get wrecked by windex though. :)

The Windex worked like a charm :)

Thank you.

Before you start to peel it try a hair dryer on low first (going back and forth) will soften it up and release it. Removes it with no residue left from most surfaces (can do on high if ncessary for a bit too). :)

any citric essential oil (grapefruit, orange, lemon . .) will dissolve the sticky gummy adhesive. works every time. :)
For a minute there, I was myself.
