I read your post in the 'how are you today" topic, and you scared me a little, so I thought I'd ask

I'm planning a trip to Disneyland for my little ones in a couple of months. I too thought 5 days (plus 1 day for travelling there, and 1 for travelling back) was exactly right. Would you change that if you could? Any tips or tricks you'd like to share?

Oh, here I am. I'm still dazed and confused with the new format.

My eldest & I flew down and my parents met us at the airport (they took my youngest son to DL last year so it was my eldest's turn to go). 5 days is A LOT but as we had 3 adults there we each took a day off and the boy went 5 days. We used one day on the night we arrived and got to DL at 6ish in the evening and returned home at 11 pm then the next 2 days we spent btwn. DL & California Adventure Park. On the 4th day of being there we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park then 2 more Disney days.

It's a crazy zoo but SO well run, staff are incredible, it's so clean and... well, happy. I was so impressed with DL. I told my dad that I felt like I was 7 again.

For me, having a day to take off with my mom to shop while my dad took my son to DL was great. I needed a break from the chaos.

It is SOOOOOO expensive... crazy expensive. But worth it.
