Rant my complete stupidity
So DD and I went to the waterpark had a great day, watched the ferries come in and out, played at the park. Six hours later we got home and did our usual stuff DD comes up to me about 10 mins ago and says her backs sore. I put sunscreen on her everywhere but her back. OMG I'M AN IDIOT.
So my poor little girl has a lovely red......no lobster red back. Thank goodness for aloe spray. I'll stop kicking myself eventually. Really does it get any worse than this?

I am sorry you had a hard day but did wonder (as my husband and I were talking about the lack of them the other day) where is the waterpark in town?

There's a waterpark on Bay Street just off of Departure Bay Road. It's a Kinsman park well maintained. In the summer they offer a free kids program where they do a bunch of activites all day. It's behind the Petro Can station and near Amrikko's restaurant.

Thanks. DH and I were astounded that there aren't several obvious ones in town as our little guy would love it. We came from Courtenay where there are at least two within a 15 minute drive.

Speaking of Amrikko's...have you been yet? Fab! How bout Gina's? My 2 fave Nanaimo restaurants...plus Longwood brew pub and Saki house for sushi (we have to hit that place for a Happy Tuna Roll every time we are in town)
Sorry, I went off on a tangent. Hope poor V is feeling ok.

I haven't tried any of those places yet but I'm dying to try Amrikko's and Gina's. Longwood is nice. I kind of like that the waterparks are hidden...supposidly there's one in Harewood too. They don't get crazy busy but there's still plenty of kids to play with.
