FERTILITY MONITOR
Hi, I was wondering how well the clear blue fertility monitor works if anyone has tried it.... It is quite expensive so want to make sure it would be worth it. It is for my sister in law..she REALLY wants one! Are there any cheaper brands that work as well? Does anyone have a used one they would like to sell?? Thanks! =)

Re: FERTILITY MONITOR
It worked awesome for me! I got pregnant with my first really fast, so was quite impatient with my second. I figure part of my problem was I was taking antihistamines for bad allergies. I stopped taking them as I bought the fertility monitor.
Anyway, I got pregnant on the second cycle with the fertility monitor. For my third I used it for 3 cycles, but hubby was away for one of the times I ovulated.
Not sure if it was a coincidence, but my second and third children are girls. I paid $299 for the fertility monitor (I used about $150 in Shoppers Drug Mart points so that helped) I sold it last summer here for $80, as I noticed a few others for sale on here, and they had generated a lot of interest. Hope that helps!

Re: FERTILITY MONITOR
I used that fertility monitor and it worked the first time using it.
My sister used it as well (She was having a very hard time getting pregnant) and was pregnant within 2 months.
I would recommend it for sure! Don't forget - the sticks have to be bought too and they are about $55 per box (Ithink you get about 20?)
Good luck to your sister-in-law!

Re: FERTILITY MONITOR
I personally didnt find it that great. You can chart and buy tests from a vancouver based website http://www.saveontests.com for much cheaper with the same results.
I've been charting almost 2 years now (not to conceive) and I definitely prefer these cheaper tests.

Re: FERTILITY MONITOR
Has she read taking charge of your fertility? We tried for 5 months to get pregnant, then while DH was away for 6 weeks I read this book and we got pregnant the next month. This book is amazing!!
I also agree with Happy With My Wash about getting the strips. I bought 10 preg tests, 10 ovulation strips (which I ended up not using because of reading the book!) and preseed for $50 from http://www.early-pregnancytest.com.
