ISO: Knock 'Em Dead Caramel Popcorn Recipe

Hi! I'm going to partition caramel popcorn into little Christmas bags and give them out to friends, etc. Otherwise... how can you really afford to purchase a gift, even a small one, for everyone!! Haha... Anyways, does anyone have a tried and true recipe? Thanks so much!

CARAMEL POPCORN

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup un-popped popcorn
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup corn syrup
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pop corn, place in large bowl.
In a medium saucepan, place sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda & vanilla.
Add nuts of choice if desired.
Mix up very well, place in cookie sheet in a layer for 1 hour at 250 degrees.
Break up into pieces and enjoy!

Love this recipe

love it love it love it.

But what I do is after it is our of the oven, I stir it for 10-15 minutes while it cools so the kernels are individual. I have had so many compliments on that.
