Window coverings help please

Postby Barbie on Mon Feb 02, 2009 1:43 pm

Hi guys... I have a family room window.... that is pretty big 70 by 48 ....
It has white blinds.. and they are soo boring....I really want to do these bamboo blind from sears.. but they are 2 inches too wide... so I would have to outside mount them.. and I am not sure that would look ok.. as then part of the window trim would be covered... what I like about the bamboo, is they have a nice valance.... but they would be up most of the time.. as our backyard is 100% private....
Can't really do a rod and curtains as the heater is under the window.. why the heck do they do that anyway geez....
We are planning on doing wood blinds in the front of the house... but they are pricey so we are waiting...{plasma tv came first, blah}

Any suggestions?????
here is a pic of the window area... room is small but open concept..
