Photo Frame Help!!!!!

Postby Brenda N on Fri May 01, 2009 12:22 pm

KIV'ers you have never let me down before!! I am hoping there's someone here who will have an answer for me.......

I have ordered some Alphabet Photography....I'm trying to spell my FIL's last name and frame it for his upcoming birthday. Unfortunately, all of the frames I find will hold only 5 pictures (4x6) and I need one to hold 6. I need a frame that will hold 6 4"x6" photos vertically (portrait rather than landscape) in a row. Michaels can make me one for $150 during the half off sale but that's WAY too much money.
I can find ones that hold 5 everywhere for about $40. But nothing for 6.
HELP!!!!

What about Ikea? I haven't checked the site lately but they may have something and as you have family over on this side, maybe they could pick it up for you and send it over?

I may be popping into an Ikea on the weekend and could check it for you to see what they may have in stock.

I had the same idea. I've looked at Ikea online and found nothing :-(
and I looked at Ikea in person a few weeks ago but I was running through the store at the time so could easily have missed it. I might try phoning them....
The gift is for someone in Richmond so if it was there I could easily pick it up on my way to deliver the gift. If you happen to be there -and see one - I'd LOVE to know. Thanks!

No way you can do it horizontal? Walmart has the perfect ones if so...

Only other option would be taking 6 individual frames & hanging them separtly...

My cousin does these but I have been having a hard time getting a frame for B's name... So I just made them "collage" like for DH for christmas for now...

wait... Do you want the frame vertical or just the pics? So yes Walmart for horizontal frames w/ vertical pictures & 6...
<insert witty phrase here>

Go to Micheals, and find a frame and then ask the custom part to make you a mat to fit into that frame?? Would that work you think??

What about having a custom mat cut with the 6 4x6 openings that will fit into a long frame?

If you go to Opus, the art supply store downtown, you can have a custom frame made and mats cut to order. It usually takes about a week to ten days, and then you assemble it all together yourself. It's way cheaper than Michael's.

I'll defiantely take a look for you. I always go to the Coquitlam one so they may have more things in stock there. I think we are planning a trip out there on Sunday so I'll let you know.

How about a frameless frame look. You can have anyone cut glass for you, most framing stores will sell the clips (they'll also cut the glass, but it's more than the glass store); then cut your own frames.....

Really easy to do, and cheap to.....
