? about costco membership

Postby kittykatt on Mon Sep 14, 2009 2:58 pm

We just got the executive membership which included getting an american express card that we can also use if we don't want to use our regular member card so my question is when the regular membership is no longer valid is the american express membership also not valid? My DH shredded all the paperwork we got so I can't find the info I need. I'm sure you kiv ladies will know the answer. :D

When we got our Amex, our membership number remained the same as on our original card - this was several years ago so I don't know if it changed. You will likely get some info from Amex about their policy and it's application to Costco. Anything else regarding Costco and your membership info can be found or requested from Costco.ca. You will be able to show and use the card as your membership number should be the same - it's printed on the back of the Amex. You don't have to use the Amex to pay for your purchases, you can used cash, debit or cheque by showing them that card. In addition to getting your costco rebate cheque, if you do use the Amex, you will get a second cheque for 2% on your purchases (wherever you use the Amex) - usually yearly based on when you started you Amex account. Your other cheque comes sometime in January and is based on your purchases from Costco only. Hope this helps, I'm basing it on what has happened with our account only so things may have changed.
