Is science world worth while?
I'm thinking of going one day with my 5 and 8 yr old and wondering what others think of it. I haven't been since I was young and dont' really remember.
Would appreciate any feedback!

It's very worthwhile - so many fun and interesting things to do and see - one of our favourites is the machine that ages you so you can see what you and your kids will look like 5, 10, 15, 25 years from now...
“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.”

Re: Is science world worth while?
We had a blast at Science world when we went. My kids were 4 and 5 at the time, and there was still enough to intrigue them, yet a lot of stuff that will be fascinating when we go back when they are older. It was a bit pricey, but we really enjoyed going. We will go back for sure one of these days. My only regret was setting aside 4 hours to go. I found that even with 4 hours, we ended up rushing. I would leave the better part of the day, and if there's time left over, hey... you can always go to La Casa Gelato: our FAVOURITE stop in Vancouver http://www.lacasagelato.com/

Totally worthwhile! We took the kids last year (they were 2 and 4) and they loved it...we loved it too! Theres TONNES to see and do. We were there 6 hours and still felt rushed.

it's been a few years since I went but we all loved it. Lots of good educational info for kids - they learn without realizing they are. Lots of fun stuff. If they have a special exhibit there, it'll be even more fun. We went when they had a special butterfly/moth exhibit and the kids loved it. *note* kids especially love the gift shop too - so beware!

I just read that Science World is closed until Mid-March because of the Olympics so check first if you are going soon. Looks like they open March 11.

were going! Thanks for the input. They have a special pirate program that ends Monday. Sounds like a lot of fun!
For those of you who felt rushed did you go see the movie? We won't be doing that.

we didn't see the movie there - just the exhibits and the gift shop - there's enough there to keep the kids busy for a long time.

My 4 year old son adores science world. He's always asking us to take him there, if only Vancouver wasn't a ferry ride away!
