OMG so my son has gone to the fair every year since he was old enough to go..with me of course lol.. BUT this year was the first year he wanted to go on rides.. SO we started with the Strawberry thing that spins around, he LOVED that one.. he picked these all out, and I'm not a ride person so my bf went on them with them which is what my DS wanted anyways (boy time they call it lol) BUT then he wanted to go on the one thats like a lil dragon you sit it and it goes up and around.. he loved that one too.. then he saw the MINI rollercoaster and says mom I wanna try that one.. and I wasnt sure but it didn't really look much different than what he had already done.. I asked the guy if he sees other younger kids go on it and he said yah.. and of course thats pretty much all that was going on teh rollercoaster.. So my bf and him go on, and things are going good hes laughing have a good time, and I guess near the end my bf said it kind of jerked a bit and it scared my son so when he was just pulling in and the ride was over my son was just crying.. And the fair guys looking at me and im like oh its his first rollercoaster ride, and he says to me well maybe you should have picked a diff ride for him to go on for hte first time.. IM LIKE UMM WTH It wasn't even the words it was the tone and the way he said it.. I walked away and my bf was even like what the heck liek obvy there are kids that come off there a lil upset ??? Idont know I just didnt like his attitude lol

Sounds rude, but about what I would expect from one of the ride operators. In my experience with these type of travelling fairs, the ride operators are a bit "dodgy" looking.

I'm sure I'll get flamed now because someone knows a great guy that works there or something. I'm just saying that over the years that's been my impression of carnival ride operators.

well that would be me ...I do know carnie people.
(*cough* family, sort of *cough*)
I would say that a lot of the people who work in this line of work are people who have a bit of the wanderlust.
Maybe he just misunderstood you? Thought it was his first ride ever? Either way, he sounds like he just doesn't know kids...
Might have been trying in an "odd" sort of way to impart some wisdom?
