I have one that my daughter and Mom made together

2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp beef in the mug
1/2 tsp chicken in the mug
6 tsp brown sugar

mix together
stir in 1 cup milk
obviously roll out and cookie cut biscuit shapes if you have them
bake at 350 for 1/2 an hour.

(ps. my daughter said they taste pretty good!)

i used this recipe for years with my dog (he's since passed on) but he loved them! it's like a savory cookie for them - for us to eat, it's v. bland (no salt) but I think any dog will love these!

I used this recipe http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/Recipes/Do ... ts-35.aspx

but I tweaked it a bit by adding 1/2 cup of wheatgerm, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and substituted a 1/4 cup of grated parmasean cheese for the cheddar cheese into the dry ingredients. I found using the dry harder cheese made the cookies last longer - they won't go moldy. You can keep them in the fridge afterwards or else in an airtight container.

My additions are optional but I found he liked them better. My dog was a bit of a dog cookie snob - would not eat Milkbones and other store bought biscuits. Just mine. :D

Oh and I would use different cookie cutters when cutting the dough. I had dog bones, hearts, cats, pumpkins, etc..
