Anybody's kids play Mario Wii games?
My son currently has Mario Kart and we got him Super Mario Wii for Christmas which he has beaten almost all of the levels on! His sixth birthday is next week so I'm wondering about some of the other Mario games?
I know there is Paper Mario, Mario Galaxy and Mario Party and I'm wondering if any of your kids play these and like them?
We like that with Super Mario you don't have to start all over again if your men are all gone, he doesn't have to read anything, and it saves your men if you stop playing, as well as the fact that the remote isn't too hard to use (I think one of the other games requires the nunchuck which seems complicated to me)
Anyway, just thought I'd ask on here and see if any of your kids like or don't like any of those games before I waste money on one

Is Galaxy the nunchuck one?
Thank you SO much... the games aren't cheap so I want him to enjoy it. SuperMario was worth it as he LOVES it (even though it has made him cry on more than one occasion!)
Anyone play Mario Party?

My kids Mario Galaxy annoying as well. They do really like the Mario Party games, which are a board game that you move around and you do mini games.
We liked the paper mario, although it's been a while since we played, but I think my DD found it fairly simple.
My DD (5) is currently really liking the Boom Blox Bash Party game (I think that's the right name), Cooking Mama and Animal Crossing, if that helps.

DS (6 1/2) loves the Mario games! He loves Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 and has since he was 4, but then again he is an odd kid! Most kids and many adults find the two Galaxy games challenging to say the least. Paper Mario is fun but you really need a good grasp of spacial awareness to play them.
Out of all of them, I would look at either Mario Party or maybe go back and start him on the classic Mario games? You can buy them through the Wii, via WiiWare.

My 6 year twin boys love Wii Super Mario and Mario Cart too! They recently got Mario Baseball for Christmas which is super cute and they LOVE it!! It also has mini games within the game as well. Just throwing another option out there

I'm thinking of getting my boys the Mario sports game. They play hockey, basketball, and a few other games but they compete as Mario characters. They've played it a few times at friend's houses and it's really cute!

My 8 yr old likes Super Mario Galaxy 2 and LOVES Mario Kart. We own those two and any others we borrow from the library, great way to find out which ones he likes! You can put them on hold and check them out for 1 week.
I forgot to add, another one he used to enjoy is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, we used to get this from the library all the time. I don't think he ever liked the Paper one.

Never even thought about renting games! Although we are down to 1 video store & I don't recall seeing games there. Also not sure if our library carries them so definitely worth looking into.
Had forgotten to ask about the sports one!
My son actually started playing Mario on the original NES! He was good but it's so frustrating having to go back to the very start if you lose all your men!
Thanks for the feedback!
With Mario Party is there reading involved?

What about Smash Bros? I think that would be a ton of fun for a 6 year old boy.
