Police escort on Keating X Rd?!

Anyone know what the hold up was with all the police motorbikes and a couple cars....blocked traffic at the major intersections coming onto Keating, then all I saw was a regular looking dude in a tan pickup being escorted by a bunch of cops...this was just after 3pm.
Nothing on cfax's facebook page...off to do some more googling...

It was the Greater Victoria Motorcycle Escort Team practicing for escort duties. The regular looking dude was a reserve officer volunteering his time to help out. You can Google away all you want but clearly this was the place to come for an answer. :lol:

they're probably practicing for the David Foster Gala/Concert at the end of May when there will be many famous/well known people in town to attend.

I told DH they'd made it onto KIV today!

as a team they practice one a month regardless if there's anyone coming to town or not, just to keep their skills up.
