Best family holiday spot on the Island?
Where is the best place for a family vacation on the Island? Where have you stayed that you LOVED? Looking for some (non-camping!) ideas for our family of 4!

Parksville is great - Ocean Trails has great prices on super clean, nice places (with a promo on right now of Stay 3 nights and pay for 2 nights - can't beat that price) and Pacific Shores is gorgeous and also has a special on right now under "Family" specials - two nights in a gorgeous two bedroom suite (full kitchen, indoor pool, tons of ammenities) for $349.
We also love Ucluelet & Tofino. Reef Point Cottages has a 5 nights for price of 3 or 3 nights for price of 2 deal. Other great deals around there too.
It just depends upon how far you want to go.....and how old your kids are. If they are quite young then Parkville has tons to offer.

Parksville has always been our favourite too.
Not too far to get to, great beach, lots of family activities nearby and a good base for exploring the mid to upper island area (ie. We always go to Coombs one afternoon and up to Courtenay another. You could probably even drive to Long Beach/Tofino for the day). We always stay at the Madrona Beach Resort next to Tigh Na Mara--they usually have a "stay 2 get a 3rd night free" promo on except for in high season.
