How to make a bad day worse

Postby organic momma on Sun Dec 11, 2005 8:22 pm

My son shallowed a magnet about 6 days ago..........I have not seen it since.

Today he wakes up from his nap and is clawing at his backside and scooting on his bum. I put him in the bath and he starts to make himself bleed he is scraching so hard. My husband is in nanimo with our car and my wallet (with my money and cards as well as his carecard. I get ahold of my really nice friend who drives across town to take us to the clinic, the one we go to is closed. We go to another and the women askes for his carecard that I do not have, so she asked for a pharmase number (but he has not had medicine before, so I do not have one so she says give me your credit card. I once again explain that I do not have my wallet so I have no carecards or credit cards. (the women is being really rude) My friend then uses her card and they charge $60.00 for the visit. I explain that it will be no problem for me to phone the number in before they close and ask if she would please hold of running the card through until closing time that way if I have not phoned it in they could then charge it. She just runs it though and says when we get paid your friend will get her money back, I ask her if she knows how long it would take and she says that she is not in charge of that end of it so how should she know.

We visit the doctor who says there is nothing she can do, if it is the magnet it will pass, however it could be that he is reacting to something else. End of visist.

SO I have now made my friend late for her plans that night had her drive me to two seperate places and then had her pay for it!

Get home and get his number from my husbandI phone the clinic and the lady lays into me on the phone. She says "you might want to consider carring the card numbers in your wallet" I respond "I told you I did not have my wallet on me" her reponse "as a mother to young children you should be prepared for this" All I am thinking is a feel bad enough, can I not be excused for leaving my wallet in my car this one time!

SoI cried.

What makes it worse is thinking it may be a reaction to his diapers I have removed my sond diaper..........and he pooed and I have no idea where, I have looked everywhere.

So now I guess I laugh.

PS
Has anyone else been having a problem with pampers cruisers?

Hi Nora, that sucks. I would call the clinic tomorow and file a complaint about the MOA, that is crazy. It sounds like maybe the magnet is right there (if you know what I mean  ) maybe it is stuck?
If it makes you feel any better, my night got really bad about half an hour ago  Take care, Tracy

Thanks,
Found the poo, no magnet.

I am so sorry to hear that your day got worse too!

Bad times and days suck! I really dislike how one person can just suck anything positive out of you and then turn you toxic on to others. I mean I was having a great day and this women was able to just turn it right around. I should just focus on how great it is that I have a friend who is willing to go to such lengths to help me out.

so what went wrong with your day? share, honest typing it out really helps :D

Sorry about the magnet. I am sure this'll make you laugh in a few years. I have to admit that it gave me a little chuckle, but not at your expense of course.

Send her this post... I'm sure she'll see the light.

make a complaint she has no right to talk to you like that (im a moa) and most places would fire her butt by treating a patient that way!

my dd stuck a mint up her nose when she was younger....it was one of those tiny white ultra hot ones....needless to say she has never done it again.....lol

My husband and I are choking with laughter.

If it makes you feel any better, one of my brothers stuck light bright up his nose while my grandparents were babysitting. They were never found. My husband wonders if he'll glow if we plug him in.

Sorry you're having a crummy day. I do like the fridge suggestion.

This is a good story for the baby book.
