Oil of Oregano while breastfeeding??

I am wondering if anyone knows about taking oil of oregano while bf??
The family all has the nasty cold, I am hoping to fight it off! Was thinking if I took it maybe the baby(newborn) and I will both get some immune boost.. Anyone know about taking it?

As far as I know, you can take any vitamins or herbals when bf, it's just the drugs you have to watch. I'd call your dr's office or a health food store to check.

You still need to watch herbal remedies while breastfeeding, however I don't know anything about this product. I would check with a herbalist or store such as Lifestyles.

I take it all the time while BFeeding.. and haven't had any problems

Please be careful when taking ANYTHING when pregnant or breastfeeding. Not too many things have been tested and proven safe, herbal or otherwise.

Many natural substances have the same effects as commercial drugs.

I am very cautious of what I take..... I spoke with my doctor first.. .read up on oil of oregano... and used tiny amounts to begin with ... know how to watch for reactions in my son.... for my son and I it works just fine

I just checked my bottle of Oil of Oregano and it says not to use while pregnant or nursing but does not say why???
