Baby trying to sit up

Postby Kayla on Sun Aug 06, 2006 9:20 am

I was just wondering if any other moms out there have a three month old baby who is already trying to sit up!

My DD is trying her hardest to sit up, but can't quite make it. Her head is always just bobbing in the air and she now hates to lay down.

Anyways, just though I'd ask!

My daughter was 4 months when she completely sat up on her own always. She was the same way.

You may have an early sitter upper! She learned when she was 4 months and never went back to laying down to play etc.

bumbo chair

Postby cherefemme on Fri Aug 11, 2006 8:53 pm

my 4 month old DD has been trying to sit up for a good month for sure, and I got her a bumbo chair from Abrakidabra - great little chair, they help sit your baby up until they have the strength in their backs to do it on their own, I guess? she loves it because she hates laying down, just like yours. you may be able to find one used somewhere, and I know they are available at TJ Kiddies too... hope this helps!

My daughter is 3 months today and will ONLY sit up if she is even slightly tilted backwards she cries until corrected into a completely upright position. I am going to get a Bumbo seat so she can sit without me having to hold her!

My little guy has been holding his head up since birth  and now crys if i lay him down even for a quick diaper change. He loves to be sitting up checking out the action of what his Big sister is getting into . :D
