The MMBC commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Unsinkable Titanic
It was a dark and stormy night...so begins most stories of woe and tragedy. And that is true of this particular story except it was a dark and calm night and no one would have guessed that the unsinkable Titanic would actually sink.
Explore this fantastically tragic story with this month’s Salty Sunday, Treacherous Water held April 15th from 1-3pm. Join our storytellers as they transport you back to that fateful night in 1912 and recount other tales of disastrous shipwrecks closer to home in the Pacific Northwest – also referred to as the Graveyard of the Pacific.
Salty Sundays are free with admission. Children 12 and under are always free! (Limit two children per paid adult).

A free Monday coffee morning for parents. Gather with other local parents for a bit of adult conversation and play time for your little one(s). This group is open to all parents of children ages 0-5. Expectant moms also welcome.
Adults must be in attendance.
We'll meet on Mondays 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Community Hall of the Oak Bay United Church on Mitchell Street.
Free coffee and tea for adults.
Entrance on Mitchell.
Plenty of parking in the church parking lot of Granite St, or street parking on Mitchell.
Please note this group is not affiliated with the Oak Bay United Church. The OBUC has been very kind and generous in offering their space and coffee facilities to this group free of charge.
